Colonel Severin, Commander of French Air Base 105, in Evreux, France extended an invitation to our veterans to attend a reunion in Evreux in June 2012.

Col. Patrice Le Mao (FAF Ret.) is working on the reunion plans. The tentative schedule is as follows:  June 20th:   Veterans arrive at their hotel. A meeting of the veterans will be held in the evening at 6:30 PM .  June 21st: 09:30 AM Buses depart for tour of Evreux Air Base, a France- USA Flag Ceremony will be held at noon followed by lunch at the base.  A party will be held in the evening at 6:30 PM in an old mill.   June 22nd: 8:45 AM Buses depart for Foret d'Ecouves near the city of Alencon. At 11:00 AM a Ceremony will be held at the crash site memorial marker of a 317th C-130 in the forest. It will be the 50th anniversary of the crash that took the lives of 15 U. S. Airmen based at Evreux. We will be extending an invitation to attend this ceremony to all family members of those who were lost in this crash. For details on the crash : click here. After the ceremony, there will be a reception at the town hall, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. . June 23rd: There will be an Air Show at the base. This will be a big air show with lots of aircraft from all over on static display and some aeral displays as well. The Air Show is open to the public and will last two days. June 24: This will be on your own free day to do some touring of the town of Evreux or return to the air show.  June 25th: a Farewell Breakfast will be held in the morning.

Hotel Information:

Patrice Le Mao, the reunion Chairman for this event, has secured a block of rooms at a discounted rate for our group. The hotel's name is "Hotel de L'Orme" , it is a nice 3 Star hotel located in downtown Evreux. The room prices are 73 Euros per night for a room with one bed and one breakfast( single person occupancy) or 88 Euros per night for a room with a large bed or two single beds and two breakfasts. These prices include breakfast and taxes.
